In the following
portfolio, you will find part of the Teaching Practicum’s activities develop
during the whole semester. In Teaching Practicum I, the students were sent to
teach three classes per period with a total of nine classes in the semester.
The groups were different. Every semester the students had to teach to
different levels. Here, the students had to put into practice all the things that
they had studied in Didactics I and II. In this subject was the moment to show
all the things or activities they had learned with some teachers.
The purpose of this
portfolio is to show part of the activities develops in some of the classes
like some of the lesson plans used in the classes. In each class, the students
had to bring their lesson plan or guideline indoor to teach the class, so here
you are some examples of the lesson plans. Besides that, it also contains some
explanations of the teacher’s role because with this subject, all the students
could have the opportunity to teach classes since some of them it was their
first time, so here they could get the experience of teaching a class, and now,
they can have a different perspective of the teacher’s role.
Moreover, the
students had to write about each of the classes. They had to talk about what
they did in their classes, the activities that allow the students to practice
the different skills (listening, writing, speaking, and reading) good or bad moments
and also something they had learned while teaching the class, so the portfolio
contains those activities as well. In addition, the students had to record one
of their classes to be present it in the classroom, so you can find this video
in the portfolio.
All the things
included in this portfolio are some of the best things learned and practiced
during the semester in Teaching Practicum. This only show some of the things
because actually, in this portfolio cannot include everything because the
students have learned many things that maybe they didn’t expect to learn.
