              TEACHING PRACTICUM I

              BASIC LEVEL

             UNIT 1: GEETING ACQUANTAIN

Objective:  SWBAT provide personal information in the rotating task activity in the oral form using the verb to be.

AGENDA:

ü  WARM-UP:

MAGIC DICE:

The teacher brings a big dice, and in its side, the dice will have different words for example: is, are, question, nationalities, and subjects. Then, the students are asked to form to lines in front of the board. The teacher throws the dice and if the teacher gets “is” it means that the first two students have to write an example using personal information with “is” Example:  She is a teacher, and so on. The group that gets more points is the winner.

ü  ROTATING TASK:

In this activity, the teacher brings some charts of famous people, and writes some questions like Name, Nationality, Profession, and Other. The teacher posts the charts around the classroom, and asks them to form some groups depending on the number of charts.  The students have to talk about the famous, and they have to give the missing information using the verb to be, countries, and nationalities. When the group finishes, they have to rotate to the next chart until they have passed to the whole charts. They have to speak only English, and the teacher has to monitoring the students.

ü  PAIR-WORK ACTIVITY:

The teacher brings a page in which the students have to give some missing information. For example, name, occupation, age, nationality, and so on. Then, they change role and the other student interviews his or her classmate.
